Did anyone get their 140 approved from Vermont?
My 140 and 485 were filed late July 07 in Nebrasks and I got notices stating the 485 was transferred to Texas and 140 was being processed in Vermont.
The Vermont processing time for 140s has been stagnant at April 2006 for a long time.
Wondering if anyone has any updates on this.

Hello,
I am not sure if this is good place to ask this.
1. I have moved out of US 5 months ago and I am working for my GC sponsoring employer overseas. What happens to my I-485? Is it considered abandoned?
2. While I was working as H1 I contributed to 401K. I want to know if I can leave that money in the US till retirement age and then start widrawing while living overseas. I expect I will not be a US citizen at that point.
Can anyone point me to a competent accountant who can help with question 2?

In the right hand column on the homepage the threads used to be listed in chronological order with the one containing the last post on top.
Now it has changed so that I get the threads listed randomly.

USCIS has announced that it is working on a rule to create an electronic registration system for H-1B employers subject to the annual cap. Employers would first register an application and be allocated an H-1B cap number and then would file the case. The idea is that employers would need to register to claim an H-1B cap number first and then if they are selected, they then would prepare and file the case. I am initiating this poll to find out priority date segments, as I could not found a poll for priority dates tracking.
I have divided priority dates in eights segments. From the eight segments, I have created three specific segments from Jan 2004 to June 2004, June 2004 to Dec 2004 and Jan 2005 to March 2005. The people in these segments are most likely to get their GC (If USCIS process in FIFO manner) as soon as the backlog with priority dates before 2003 is cleared. The first three months of 2005, Jan to March, when lots of people applied, just before a new PERM labor certification process was introduce. This will help separate the three months from the rest of the year 2005.
Please join me to track priority dates which is the key date for GC approval.

Just Received a copy of my ETA 7089 from my HR. I learned that my Labor Cert may not have been properly filed.
The experience column
H6 - Is experience required in the job offered required for the JOB?
is NO
H14 - Specific Skills or other requirements says:
Qualifications include:
1) Five years of experience in Web Development ... and so on
H14 and H6 Contradict themselves...
My HR is dumb and the attorney had made mistakes for simple H1b filings in the past..
Any help/suggestions will be appreciated!
