Bottom Line, with this lawsuit, Apple has clearly declared they see Samsung as a very real threat. Samsung is MASSIVE. They are a true OEM. Look how they were able to pull off a revised Galaxy Tab 10.1 in a span of 2 months. That's true OEM muscle being flexed. Apple Knows this, hence their request to have the Galaxy devices removed from market.
What an absolute joke. I'm still a little shocked Apple is even suing.
Because, as it has been said on every single page, the image is flat out wrong. The Samsung F700 wasn't shown until AFTER the iPhone: February 2007.

daveNapa isn't a chipset. It's a grouping on Intel components (processor, northbridge/southbridge, and wireless) that make up the Napa platform.
Apple only uses the processors and northbridge/southbridge from Intel. Chipset normally ONLY refers to the north/southbridge.

What ever Apple decides to do, the result will have to be better than any Vista
Powered AMD set-up.
The thing is that Apple has not only set a standard for performance, but also
for QUIET that no other workstation in it's class has ever achieved.
They won't be able to maintain that ground if they cut too many corners.
Some of these quad core designs will be a success and some with probably fail
to meet Apple's standards.

Remember, having the largest market share != the best experience.
Good for MSFT if they can get back in the game. If anything I look forward to Google and MSFT battling it out. Apple needs these two to help drive their own innovation forward.

Who has room for two external displays on a desk that already has a 27" iMac?! Dual outs on the MBP would make much more sense, although achieving it may be more of a technical challenge in terms of GPU power.
ETA: Of course, having an external display connected directly and using the other ThunderBolt port for non-display ThunderBolt devices makes much sense, especially seeing as ThunderBolt devices can't be daisy-chained after a display. So I'm not saying the two ports don't make sense.Haha Ill make room ;)

My point is...
1) The Movies take up huge amounts of storage space.
2) I hate having to always plug external drives into my iBook.
3) We need redundancy for storing these movies we buy. An "external HD" just won't cut it.
4) If I want to take my iBook on the road with me, then how are the other people in my house going to access the Movies and other media via iTV if it's stored on my iBook or some "external HD" which requires a host computer to be of any use.

If Apple wants to be competitive on a hardware and software basis Apple will have to make sure they release the best possible Intel Processors they can get their hands on. Apple really needs to release Core 2 Duo products by september, they could afford to stockpile chips in the G5 days but now it's Intel and the competition is releasing products with similar specs as Apple.

A side note: It's under no circumstance appropriate to try to cause a wreck for someone driving slow. That's what causes road rage. Do it to the wrong person and you get killed. I would have just been nice and reported your plates to the police. I wouldn't have likely brake checked, but that's a different point.

I have the 60GB old 5gb ipod and i updated it to version 1.2 see my previous post on how to do if anyone hasn't figured it out yet. I get the scrolling letter thing. Mine does play games now. Bought Mahjong and played it a few times. It does have a load time to play the game which sucks, I already have to deal with that on my PSP. Once loaded, game plays well and smoothly. do not have the fast search feature under music menu. that would have been nice to have. why give us one and not the other? happy about the support for larger video size. But will probably stick to buying DVD's and using handbrake. ITV would change that if you can download directly to it and sync it with ipod using tv to complete these steps.

Thunderbolt will never replace USB because they serve different functions. You will never see low-bandwidth devices such as keyboard/mice/USB stick using thunderbolt because it doesn't make sense.

If they have the market for features then Wireless is the most attractive up sell for most of them over faster wires. So Low bandwidth devices are either going to stay USB 2 or go wireless.

I agree with everyone here who says that when Apple starts their own movie store they should also release a new Application along with it.

The way to distinguish (if it needs to be done) between app stores is by saying the name of the app store before hand, ie the Apple App Store, the Amazon App Store, or the Microsoft App Store.

Our courts have said that the U.S. Constitution requires the publication, among other requirements, of DUI roadblocks.
